Potassium salt of sorbic acid is a targeted preservative that is exceptionally powerful at killing and stopping the growth of molds, yeasts, and fungi. In our skincare it is being used by our suppliers to preserve the integrity of some of the ingredients we use.
Active antimicrobials (sorbates) are found completely naturally in nature, specifically fist discovered in the berries of Rowan tree. Because harvesting enough rowan berries to preserve the world's cosmetic supply would destroy ecosystems, the version used in cosmetics is synthetically created in a laboratory. Because it is exact replica of the molecule found in the berries, scientists and natural certification bodies classify it as "nature-identical".

Xanthan Gum is natural thickener derived from bacterial fermentation and Acacia Senegal Gum is natural tree sap that provides fantastic glide and high solubility but has weak thickening capabilities on it own. 
As well as using pure Xanthan Gum, we are using the version where Xanthan Gum is coated with Acacia Gum through innovative manufacturing process that offers a non sticky, silky, and elegant skin feel that glides smoothly across the skin. In our creamy formulas it keeps the oil and water particles tightly bound together so the products wont separate over time. For the skin it offers natural "lifting" effect, forming a microscopic breathable film over the surface of the skin. This mechanical film tightens the skin surface, visually reducing the appearance of crows feet and fine lines. The film forming properties of this blend lock in moisture, providing significant moisturizing effect that lasts for up to 8 hours (in leave on products). Clinical scoring using image analysis showed a visible reduction in red spots and an immediate boost in overall skin radiance and brightness 30minutes post application. This blend functions also as a topical skin protectant, providing a calming, soothing sensation while noticeably increasing skin softness and smoothness.
